Volunteer Recruitment - Child Abuse Prevention
Posted by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) on 4/10/2012
CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates - recently put out 213 BLUE Pinwheels in front of the Clarion Inn. This represents the number of children the program currently serves. It is in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Join us in efforts to prevent child abuse and protect children suffering from abuse and neglect.
CASA is actively recruiting volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the juvenile division of the Twenty-fifth Judicial District. Dedicate your time to a child as the person who is there to help. Reveiw records, interview parents, talk to teachers and therapists, get to know the child. CASA volunteers prepare written reports to the court recommending to the judge what is in the best interest for the child's future. You can make a difference. You can help prevent child abuse and protect children suffering from abuse and neglect. Please contact the CASA office today to become a CASA Volunteer.
